Life Update: Introducing Everett James Todd!
Hi friends! I’m back! Or at least, I’m back this week. My schedule has been a little unpredictable as of late since we added a NEWBORN to the mix! Everett James Todd was born at 9:16am on Friday, October 4th, and he has brought more joy to our family than we ever could have imagined. Madeleine is an excellent big sister—always wanting to check on him, hold him, help change diapers, and more. We’ve been living in a perfect bubble of happiness over here (from which I hope never to emerge).
Don’t get me wrong, we’ve had some setbacks (including a complication after delivery, many sleepless nights, and lots of fussiness) but Everett is everything we ever hoped for in completing our family. We’re in love and filled with gratitude. And although I haven’t been cooking as much as I normally do, I’m trying to cut myself some slack. After all, it’s only been five weeks since the baby arrived! That said, I do have some yummy fall recipes I’m dying to share with you, so stay tuned in the next few weeks for those. In the meantime, I’ll be here, cooking when I can and adjusting to being a family of four. Have a great week!
