Halloween 2017

This year, under my mother’s patient tutelage, I sewed Madeleine’s Halloween costume! As you can (hopefully? obviously?) tell, my little love is Little Red Riding Hood. 

We went to our sweet town’s 70th annual Halloween parade to celebrate the spooky holiday and M happily marched herself down the main street and danced herself sleepy by the end of it. 

Today, we’re planning to stay on our front porch and have M help us give out candy to other trick-or-treaters as she runs circles around us in her costume. We’ll be finishing the day with a few bowls of steaming soup, mugs full of spiced cider, and probably another viewing of Hocus Pocus, just for good measure.
